i am a 42 year-old genderqueer & aro-ace person who is originally from the midwest (des moines, IA) and have been living in/associated with minneapolis since 2001—i moved & lived in the SF bay area of california for a while (2012-2019), quit my job cuz shit's expensive & stressful over there, moved back to mpls and been here ever since. i dig it here, even when it's ass below-zero outside.
i was diagnosed with ASD when i was 37, so i've been doing a *lot* of learning/re-learning/un-learning in regards to that since my diagnosis. i have other brain stuff going on along with it so i struggle most days, but i manage to make it through. 💪🏾
back in april of this year, i underwent top surgery (double incision, no nipple grafts) and i'm so relieved i can finally feel comfy in my own skin now! i talk a lot about my healing process often.
if i don't have errands or appointments, i'm usually chillin' at home. i spend lotsa time listening to/learning about music—i post music threads for #BlackFriday and #SoulfulSunday, so y'all will see these here on my account. i also post a random song in the morning as well...the hashtag for those is #MyPannycakesWeighATon. i also watch a lotta anime & random vintage television & commercials.
this is the 4th instance i've been on—previously i was on mastodon.lol (rip in pieces 🤣), toot.lgbt, sfba.social, and now i'm here. i've felt outta place on most of the instances i've been on, so it's nice to be here in a tiny space. uhh...i think that's all. nice to meet y'all! 🤘🏾
