@scalzi I've wondered about the logistics of that, do you ask for permission to sign your own books in shops like that? It would be hard to argue you're "damaging" them, but I wouldn't put it past someone to try.
@TechConnectify Also, turbolofts aren't strictly elevators. Some scenes make clear that they take a more zigzag route through the ship given the arrangement of the saucer and lower section. So "falling down the shaft" makes even less sense.
I'm not usually big into dream analysis, but I dreamt that deer kept falling through skylights of the biology classroom while a busker made candy, and that seems to warrant a moment of "wtf?"
