Some pictures of today's #drawtheline march in #Ottawa. Nice crowd!
I just participated in the tree planting event near the new Westboro Beach pavilion in #Ottawa by Fôret Capitale Forest (https://foretcapitaleforest.ca/events/capital-golf-planting-event/). Over a hundred trees planted. Great fun too!

Geez, this happened yesterday and I'm still a little frazzled. That was way too close.

Happy they have plans to fix that stretch of road of Laurier Ave though that will take some years I assume. Also same location a cyclist was killed a few years back. Ghost bike is still at city hall.

Fairly big crowd at the #ElbowsUp rally at Parliament Hill in #Ottawa today!

Was nice to see all those people out there taking a stand!

Just a reminder for tomorrow's rally against the Doug Ford plan to get rid of bike lane.

It starts at 15:30 at Confederation Park across City Hall.

The rally last Tuesday had over 200 people there, so let's do that again or more!

Question for the #OttBike people. How am I suppose to interpret this sign? It's been puzzling me for months. It's on Laurier Ave on the separated bike line.

Does it mean you should use the car lane when passing a slower cyclist but only when there are no cars?

Or does it mean pass on the narrow bike lane when it's safe to do so and the other lane is for cars only?

Just a reminder for the #OttBike people if you are interested. The next #CriticalMass event in #Ottawa is tomorrow at 10:00 at the War Museum. This time apparently featuring Gladstone.

Hey, another #CriticalMass ride in #Ottawa again on Saturday 8 July at 10:00! Starting from War Museum again.

Last one was really fun and not as scary as I thought it was going to be! Should be fun for the #OttBike crowd.

Decent crowd this morning at the rally on Gladstone and Rochester in #Ottawa where a cyclist was seriously injured by a dump truck recently. It made the local CBC news as well. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/ottawa-bike-safety-rally-rochester-bronson-crash-1.6882201

Hopefully this will lead to some changes soon for the #OttBike and #OttWalk people.

Rally calls for cycling infrastructure after near-fatal collision | CBC News

Cyclists are rallying Thursday to demand safer infrastructure at a central Ottawa intersection that was the site of a recent near-fatal collision between a cyclist and dump truck driver.

Caught some of the melting ice on my bike cam. Bit shaky because it was out of the corner of my eye.

Big chunks from the #icestorm in #Ottawa !
