Geez, this happened yesterday and I'm still a little frazzled. That was way too close.
Happy they have plans to fix that stretch of road of Laurier Ave though that will take some years I assume. Also same location a cyclist was killed a few years back. Ghost bike is still at city hall.
Question for the #OttBike people. How am I suppose to interpret this sign? It's been puzzling me for months. It's on Laurier Ave on the separated bike line.
Does it mean you should use the car lane when passing a slower cyclist but only when there are no cars?
Or does it mean pass on the narrow bike lane when it's safe to do so and the other lane is for cars only?
Just a reminder for the #OttBike people if you are interested. The next #CriticalMass event in #Ottawa is tomorrow at 10:00 at the War Museum. This time apparently featuring Gladstone.
Hey, another #CriticalMass ride in #Ottawa again on Saturday 8 July at 10:00! Starting from War Museum again.
Last one was really fun and not as scary as I thought it was going to be! Should be fun for the #OttBike crowd.

Decent crowd this morning at the rally on Gladstone and Rochester in #Ottawa where a cyclist was seriously injured by a dump truck recently. It made the local CBC news as well. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/ottawa-bike-safety-rally-rochester-bronson-crash-1.6882201
Hopefully this will lead to some changes soon for the #OttBike and #OttWalk people.
