Musk has used "Vox populi, Vox Dei" to justify reinstating Trump on #Twiiter. But the quote is from a letter from Alcuin to the Emporer Charlemagne urging him to resist such ideas, "Nec audiendi qui solent dicere, Vox populi, vox Dei, quum tumultuositas vulgi semper insaniae proxima sit." Which translates as "And do not listen to those who keep saying, 'The voice of the people is the voice of God', because the tumult of the crowd is always close to madness."

"Woke" people aren't necessarily "good" people.

It seems there is an absurd, yet prevalent, notion among people that those with the most progressive political views are "good" people, by default. It's crucial that we don't fall for this black & white binary because it's a scam.

Many are using the horrific murder of Shraddha by her live-in partner Aftab to shit on “woke” culture citing the latter’s positioning as a liberal, feminist, LGBTQ ally. Some are countering this claiming Aftab was lying about his politics.
