@dankennedy_nu The biggest red flag for me (and I don’t personally Identify as trans myself) is that she absolutely correlates trans women with the generalised threat of violence from men and that trans women should be excluded from ‘spaces’ that ‘women’ occupy. But again - talk to someone who is trans themselves, there are multiple active trans commentators on the bird site.

@dankennedy_nu There is no ‘case’ as such, it’s years of increasingly hostile comments & rhetoric, and public association with many deeply transphobic figures who have further links to far-right groups and opinions. Much of her stance is selective and in conflict with many of the ‘virtues’ in her books. Talking to someone who identifies as trans themselves about the personal impact that a highly visible, influential public figure positioning themselves at the centre of this ‘debate’.

@sandralindsey Whilst I can't answer your question (sorry) it's interesting that I used the example of The Evening Leader as it was in the 80s in a presentation this week to demonstrate how local news media has fallen apart recently BUT could claw back it's position and be relevant again. Right now I believe it's fragmented into several district editions.
