We are aware of recent reports regarding targeted phishing attacks that have resulted in account takeovers of some Signal users, including government officials and journalists. We take this very seriously.

To be clear: Signal’s encryption and infrastructure have not been compromised and remain robust. These attacks were executed via sophisticated phishing campaigns, designed to trick users into sharing information – SMS codes and/or Signal PIN – to gain access to users’ accounts.

In case you were wondering, before this morning's Iran attack, Polymarket had yet another spate of likely inside traders betting that the US would strike Iran by February 28.

Per the due diligence investigation service Bubblemaps, the wallets used were first used 24 hours earlier.

Betting prediction websites are national security risks, not Anthropic.

A long-standing issue — one that makes fuel prices unnecessarily expensive in Nevada and that Republicans and Democrats should be able to work together to solve — is the environmental and economic damage caused by the Jones Act.

@elaterite Pahrump abolished its town board for a few years because residents wanted "smaller government". It also elected a town board that required English to be the official language of the town.

Then there's the local sheriff who lost her gun in a casino and, IIRC, had relatively positive things to say about Hitler.

Did I mention the water table that's been steadily dropping since cotton farmers gained electricity in the '50s? Or that each year I was in high school there, we discovered that a teacher or administrator had been sleeping with at least one of the students?

Ut oh! We just got 2mos of snow fall in 1wk with a warm storm possible next week.

"Next storm is projected Mon-Wed. This one is..warmer with more of an atmospheric river component..indicating 7000-8000' rain-snow lines Tues so there's potential for 2-3" rain in the mountains with 0.5-1" in W Nevada. This..introduces concern for flooding..but at this point we're too far out to know..probably not a bad idea to clean out plugged/snow blocked drains & gutters this weekend."
