When you elect "conservatives" who exist only to suck all the public wealth out of a country and hand it to the 1%, this is what you get.

The "debt ceiling" is coming up again next year. Congress appropriates funds, but they have to "raise the debt ceiling" to allow those appropriated funds to actually reach the recipients.

As the day approaches the stock market tumbles, bond markets go nuts, etc...

My cynical opinion is this is an insider trading scam. If you -KNOW- what the final outcome is going to be, you make a fortune. And people at the top of the House and Senate -KNOW- what the outcome is going to be.
