Flooding at the Greenford London subway station has been reduced by 90% thanks to.. *checks notes* ..a family of beavers.

After conservationists reintroduced a group of beavers into a nearby park, the animals began building dams, and the wetlands they created now absorb & slow floodwater naturally.

City officials had been planning major flood infrastructure works, but the beavers effectively created them on their own — while also boosting biodiversity and restoring the ecosystem around them.

But that’s not the whole story. In a new study published in Internet Archive's book, VANISHING CULTURE, data scientists working with the Wayback Machine have found: 16% have been restored through the Wayback Machine.
