Let's get the museum overdose started.

@rafaelcaricio I manage a self hosted mail delivery service at work. It's challenging.

Any time one of your IPs show up in a bad reputation list (all it takes is someone to flag one email as Spam, even by mistake), and there you go having to send emails to those lists hoping to convince them to resolve the issue. It's exhausting sometimes.

It doesn't matter if you set up the server correctly (SPF, DMARC, DKIM, and all that), if your IPs have a bad reputation, your emails WILL be dropped.

@manualdousuario you can also check out CalyxOS, which uses MicroG and supports more devices. I used it before GrapheneOS and it's nice, although I had more compatibility issues back then - the maps and location in apps like Uber were glitchy, YubiKey support was partial, etc. Maybe things are better now.

@manualdousuario I use GrapheneOS for more than a year without compatibility issues. All apps I use work flawlessly, including banking apps. The devs even got Android Auto working in a recent release! It's really impressive.

NFC payments with Google Pay doesn't work though, but merely because Google didn't include GrapheneOS as one of the allowed OSes, but this is something that I do not rely on.

#TIL if you have a private Cloud SQL instance and you wish to connect to it from Datastream, another Google-managed service, you need to run a reverse proxy VM yourself like a Neanderthal, or go against security best practices and expose your DB with a public IP address.

This sums up how #GoogleCloud products feel to me as a customer: an ever growing list of hacked services that are put together with glue gun and duct tape.

What a trainwreck.
