Did @onthemedia send me a weeping angel…? 😟
sorry to inform you the buny cannot join the meeting cause the headphones won't fit their ears

@emoltzen Also, it's a good thing thaf "joy" is a descriptor of some people's emotional state and a theme that people are touching on a lot in the speeches…and not their entire campaign strategy.

Why does the NYT hire and publish the absolute bottom of the barrel to fill their opinion pages?

We got a little bag of mixed fruit German hard candies at the Cheese Importers, and I'm so glad they included my favorite flavor, Eye of Sauron.

@futurebird It depends. In my car or on a remote or something like that? Absolutely not.

The buttons on my stove, though? I actually like those being capacitive. So much easier to wipe down.

Also prefer them on ear wireless earbuds. The ones I had with physical buttons, I felt like I was driving them down into my ear canals when I operated them.

I think it really depends on the application and the thought and care that went into the design, and it's something that can be done well.

@futurebird It doesn't self fill or have the little dishwasher, so it's a very different sort of gadget, but this tea maker from Breville is available in a US model. It was the first appliance purchase my now-husband and I saved up for together (a real extravagance at the time), and it's served us well for over a decade now.

They are telling the rest of us to shut up and then openly mocking us.

The GOP’s N.C. Gubernatorial Candidate Is Competing for the Most Extreme Republican in 2024  - America's Voice

Mark Robinson, the MAGA nominee for governor in North Carolina, may not have the national name recognition of convicted felon Donald Trump or mass deportation enthusiast Marco Rubio, but he is one of the most extreme Republican candidates of 2024 (and that’s saying something these days.) During a hate-laden speech on June 30 (yes, this… Continue Ā»

@kitchens_sync Occasionally when I see her in something, I think about how this absurd sketch about a fake game show was my first exposure to her:
Any Mainstream Media that amplifies Trump distancing himself from Trump's Project 2025 without noting he is lying, is functionally working for Trump.

@germ They keep claiming they will take it seriously…and then it keeps just not happening. 😤

I haven't found the garden walls too inconvenient. I use my Google apps for most stuff on the iPad, and I don't pay for iCloud or anything.

They're a bit better about cross-platform services than they used to be, too. I use Apple Music (better classical selection) through the app on my Pixel. And we really like some of the shows on Apple TV, but we watch those on our Nvidia Shield.
