@ophiocephalic They are not, they did not start rumours. Users did by throwing a damn tantrum based on rumours. I love how you ignored the comments about death threats. It's people like you that are part of the problem. Death threats are worse than some people potentially meeting with Meta

Christian SeligI have a fun idea to commission some of the artists who did Apollo icons to create some really cool final Apollo wallpapers to remember the app by. Is this something you'd pay a few bucks for, where the proceeds would go toward Apollo's refund fees?
@Chimaera This is a leak from Meta. We have known since march Meta was working on a decentralised Twitter competitor that is built on AcftivityPub. 99% of the info being reported on are leaks from content creators testing the app and from internal employees. That post is from a leaked internal meeting.

Eugen Rochko@mastodonmigration I am not aware of any secret deals with Meta. As far as I can tell people are just making stuff up. There is little to comment on until Meta's platform launches.
@ophiocephalic The gossip does need to stop it is childish. The only way to be concerned is via gossip? Im sorry but that is not true. The gossip has also led others including myself to receive death threats. Communities will survive, it won't be due to Meta directly if they don't. It will be due to fundamental differences.

Wtf, what liberties and freedoms does it take from anyone? No one has the right to anyone’s attention nor any instance. They aren’t being blocked from using the software.
