For those who have access to Bloomberg, Matt Levine's "The Crypto Story" (https://www.bloomberg.com/features/2022-the-crypto-story/) is a well thought-out thesis on the good and bad of cryptocurrency.
I've not been a fan of cryptocurrency because it's largely been a "bad" financial system (per Matt's reasonable definition, see screenshot), but he points out good uses of it, too. They don't get much attention/financing because they're boring and mundane and solve real-world problems instead of being Ponzis.

I got fed up writing FFmpeg commands. Its unintuitive, and can get ugly and complicated quickly

Hmpf. Is there any way to make Firefox behave itself when I'm trying to learn a new language? It doesn't obey the system setting for the current input method, highlighting everything in English as... well, not being Dutch, despite the system input method set to EN/US.
