We are looking for a Chair Assistant (Akademischer Rat / Akademische Rätin auf Zeit) at the Chair for Multilingual Computational Linguistics. The position is for 3 years, in rank above post-doc (since chair assistants can do independent research at our chair) and can be prolonged by 3 more years.

Google Translate ondersteunt vanaf vandaag meer dan 100 nieuwe talen, waaronder ook Limburgs en Papiaments. De uitbreiding verdubbelt bijna het aantal talen dat Google Translate kent, waardoor nog meer taalbarrières worden doorbroken.

Google Translate has added 110 new languages, 31 of which are from Africa. This is a great start, amazing work spearheaded by Isaac Caswell, the Google Translate Research team, and many other contributors.

We are looking for talented junior scientists to join our International Max Planck Research School for Language Sciences in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Two fully-funded 4-year #PhD fellowships (2024-2028) are available to carry out cutting-edge research on #genetics and #development of human #language, with several innovative projects to choose from, co-supervised by leading researchers at the Max Planck Institute and our partners at the Radboud University. Projects include investigating rare #DNA variants in genes that cause developmental speech/language disorders, and neuroimaging #genomic analyses of language circuits in the brain.
