De naam “Bureau Architectuur” heeft me sinds dag één aan het denken gezet. Niet omdat er iets inherent mis is met architectuur, maar omdat het suggereert dat architectuur iets is dat los staat van het daadwerkelijke bouwen. Een separate discipline, een aparte functie, een geïsoleerde verantwoordelijkheid. Deze week heeft die spanning weer op verschillende manieren de kop opgestoken.

We are looking for a Chair Assistant (Akademischer Rat / Akademische Rätin auf Zeit) at the Chair for Multilingual Computational Linguistics. The position is for 3 years, in rank above post-doc (since chair assistants can do independent research at our chair) and can be prolonged by 3 more years.

Deadline is October 15, starting date is February 17.

We are looking for talented junior scientists to join our International Max Planck Research School for Language Sciences in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Two fully-funded 4-year #PhD fellowships (2024-2028) are available to carry out cutting-edge research on #genetics and #development of human #language, with several innovative projects to choose from, co-supervised by leading researchers at the Max Planck Institute and our partners at the Radboud University. Projects include investigating rare #DNA variants in genes that cause developmental speech/language disorders, and neuroimaging #genomic analyses of language circuits in the brain.
