What are your end-of-year rituals? I’m not talking about aspirational resolutions here - what do you do that works for you, serves you well, helps you take stock and celebrate or plan and be excited about the year to come?

Tell me about your smoke detector battery replacement wins and your worthwhile new year’s walks and your quirky personal spreadsheets and all that is fun and fulfilling. #newyear #resolutions #nye

My cousin is an atmospheric scientist. He just came back from #Antarctica where he said he saw Thwaits glacier, the “doomsday glacier”. It’s the last season scientists will be able to study it directly because it’s too unstable. When it detaches it is capable of raising sea levels 3-4 feet. #climate
The oil industry's smoking gun 1968 report now fuels lawsuits against the industry: "science around climate change was clear, it was abundant, and that the best indications were that the risks were really substantial.”https://e360.yale.edu/features/climate-lawsuits-oil-industry-research #climate #climatechange
How an Early Oil Industry Study Became Key in Climate Lawsuits

For decades, 1960s research for the American Petroleum Institute warning of the risks of burning fossil fuels had been forgotten. But two papers discovered in libraries are now playing a key role in lawsuits aimed at holding oil companies accountable for climate change.

My toddler nephew has speech apraxia so producing words verbally is tough. I’m loving learning #signlanguage to give us a shared language and more ways for him to communicate his needs.
Yesterday found the #toddler nephew sitting w/an open milk jug in the hallway. One pup has milk lid in his mouth. Other pup is licking top of milk container. 2 yo when asked who did this signs “dog” as if the pups got a gallon of milk out of the fridge + closed the door again by themselves.
