@bobg Thank you 🙂 I photograph exclusively in bnw I prefer it over colour but I’m still waiting to get a good photo of kingfisher definitely a lot more challenging but I will keep trying.
Another selection of birds on my local pond, I remember when I first stared photographing wildlife I would spend ages waiting at this tree stump for Gulls to land on it and mostly been disappointed with my results. #wildlife
@Orewoet Thanks for the comment 👍, I have been trying to leave a bit of space in my images so the wildlife doesn’t feel trapped and showing some of the environment. Black and white is my favourite type of photography it’s probably not what most people do for wildlife but you have to be true to yourself.
@sassmouth Thank you, but to be honest ithe grain isn’t real. I shoot a mixture of film and digital and tried to match it with my film images for continuity.
@linuxlucy Thanks for the comment, I can’t seem to get on photographing in colour just isn’t me even if try now and again. I have definitely been neglecting my local patch but it’s refreshing making photos from the wildlife there instead of chasing more sort after birds.
I’m trying to focus a bit more of my time at a few local nature reserves, all within walking distance. I’m struggling with a bit of lack of motivation so have a site that’s minutes way makes it easy to get out with my camera when Im my feeling it. My local birds are not the most sort after but it doesn’t mean I can’t try and make interesting photos of them. A lot of the time I would probably over look photographing them if I visited a larger more official nature reserve. #wildlife #photography
