A different astronomy and space science related image is featured each day, along with a brief explanation.

Kevin McCarthy is taking a lot of flak right now, and I get it. But the truth is, there’s only one other man on Earth who knows the pressure of waking up every morning, staring at yourself in the mirror, and knowing you’re going to break your own record AGAIN. Day after day after day. Incredible.

I admit to not knowing much about Webb or NASA history, but I know, listen to, and trust @chanda, and I don't see why a story that began with a group of scientists seeking truth & accountability w/r/t historical/institutional bigotry should be recast as yet another "can you believe what the woke activists are doing now" piece ... unless ofc the goal is discrediting people who demand better, because a focus on individuals tends to take the heat off institutions

Ok I’ve been pretty bad about posting on mastodon, but I’m a sucker for doing things that Elon tells me not to do and he seems to really dislike mastodon… so let’s goooooo

I mean, I'm just guessing off the fact that they usually are. I'm not going to wake up that early on a work day!

Our family used mail-in ballots several weeks ago, but this morning I check to ensure my ballot was delivered (and counted). Everyone should do the same. #Vote https://www.vote.org/ballot-tracker-tools/
Ok this is embarrassing but does anyone know how to pin a toot? When I click the three dots on one of mine I see options to delete it or to block or mute myself, all of which are pretty much the opposite of what I’m trying to do.
