@mcrocker Ha. Hadn't looked at the shirt before I replied. I'm thinking it supposed to be low-rez on purpose to look like an old terminal font.

Not sure why they don't offer a design with their standard logo.

@mcrocker Funny timing. My wife's laptop had a battery fire(!) a week ago (got it out of the house quickly and we're all safe), and we're looking at a Framework laptop.

You might email Framework to see if they have a real photo of their shirt. I've learned that with RedBubble, when you upload a design, depending on the resolution, it can look fine IRL, but displays fairly pixelated in their web store depending on how it is stretched/compressed to be superimposed over the product.

A while back, I created a RedBubble store for my "Good People Write Good Code" #sticker designs in various #language and #framework colors.

Just received my second Elixir sale, so thought I'd update my sales stats so far:

#Angular - 1 (Czechia)
#Code (#PHP color) - 2 (US)
#Elixir - 2 (France/US)
#Erlang - 1 (France)
#Ruby - 1 (Spain)

Total Sales: $14.25
Total Profit: $2.08

Not retiring on this one, but fun to see where people are buying what.

And if you are interested in any slow-moving Good People Write Good Code merch, it is available here - https://www.redbubble.com/people/kartedrop/shop

At $.96 for the year, it looks like "Good People Write Good Code" will not be one of my more profitable ventures of 2023.

This (extremely) modest total comes from 3 sticker sales, one each for #Ruby, #PHP and #angular.

There was also a #Clojure T-shirt sale which was later cancelled that does not figure into this chart.

#code #coding #developer #developers #goodpeoplewritegoodcode

Just sold a "Good People Write Good #Clojure" T-shirt to someone in Greece this morning.

Added to the #PHP sticker sold back in Sept, my total passive income is now $3.38 for the year...not much of a side hustle.

Anyway, if you have a #programmer / #developer on your list this year, I have a few designs available for most #programming languages and frameworks. Everything from #ruby, #RubyonRails, #python, #javascript, #typescript all the way to #erlang and #bridgetown

Shipped the last bits of code to support branded sites within KarteDrop (https://kartedrop.com).

Starting next year, companies will be able to create their own digital postcard templates and offer them to their customers/followers/etc through their own, unique landing page.

Now the hard part - soliciting.

If you have an interesting use case, ping me. I'm looking to give away subscriptions to pressure test before the official launch next year.

Another @bridgetown shoutout to start the day.

Finally got around to writing a blog post for https://blog.friendliest.app, first in 2 years.

The blog was Gatsby, v3.10. After an evening lost sifting through node/yarn dependency issues while trying to upgrade to v5.9, I just rewrote the site in #Bridgetown! 🎉

Zero to live in under 4 hours, including mimicking all the Tailwind (rolling clean css this time), converting to shoelace, and feed integration with my main app.

Great work @jaredwhite!

@djwfyi My wife and I were having a similar conversation earlier this week.

Thought experiment was barring elected officials from employment as lobbyists or with government contractors for x years after office. Would having service minded people in for too long be better than self promoting people for a short time?

If you could somehow also put a moratorium on becoming a pundit/media personality immediately following your tenure, might have something there...
