Also, not universally true, but most of the folks I interact with are here for connection and community, not clout or soapboxing.

@elfwizard oh that's so crappy. Thank you for being a bright spot for him, even if it's all too fleeting.
We once had an elderly dog come visit us, not well cared for and when we called animal control they said sadly they knew exactly whose dog it was and they weren't negligent enough to take the dog, but it was clearly both a repeat situation and also really just threshold level care. It's so heartbreaking.
