Practicing System Architect who still manages to code weekly.
Tried running claudbot or whatever it’s called to see what all the hype is about. After a few days I’m still unsure why people think it’s so great. To Mike it useful you have to give it tons of stuff so I exported our entire corporate wiki, our bigger repos, tons of jira tickets, and then copied and pasted a few relevant slack channels. It can’t help me put a project plan for a go to market mvp launch. It wants to do a ton of scalability planning and optimization. It’s falling into the trap of optimizing too early and I can’t seem to get it to stop. I have also seen it fall into an endless loop a few times. I’m going to look at our billing to see what it cost to run this thing and get questionable results in the next few days. Has anyone else had a better experience?

The Trump administration right now:

🤡 Alex Pretti was a domestic terrorist!

🤨 No, he was a nurse.

🤡 Well… but he brandished a weapon!

🤨 No, he never drew the gun he carried.

🤡 Well… but he was armed.

🤨 No, ICE removed his weapon, before they shot him.

🤡 Well… But he was impeding ICE!

🤨 No, not a single video show him doing that.

🤡 You do not know any of this, because there has not been an independent investigation.

🤨 Will there be an independent investigation?

🤡 No!

Put in an order on amazon that included a book. Everything else is here except the book and that is delayed again. It’s like they forgot where they came from.

Well, I just got laid off from my job. If anyone needs a talented embedded systems engineer or hardware engineer with strong experience in video hardware, send me a message with details of a job opening and I can provide a CV. Remote work preferred, but I can work anywhere in central Minnesota. Boosts welcome and encouraged.
Oh hello endianes I forgot you existed.
I was just at my local library and found a book “Mastadon for Dummies” I chuckled and walked on. Now I’m wondering if it talks about running your own server.
In the middle of recovering a project that was shelved and realizing how much of the ML work was done using jupyter notebooks makes me want to ban notebooks.
