A group of hardy riders from our club including myself braved the elements (middle of winter here in Australia) Yesterday and ventured out to a members family farm, 87km round trip, I took my old 1950 Sunbeam S8, and was relieved she made the distance as I had recently rebuilt the engine (back to nuts and bolts), trying to solve a bad oil leak. The bad news is that the oil leak was still present 😿

I was trawling through our #Geelong #Australia #motorbike club photo archives and I found this great shot from the 1950s near #Ballarat, the original photo was in black and white but I put it through palette.fm and let the AI colourize it. Pretty amazing result, I feel for the guy up the rear, he's about to enter a world of pain !
Perfect day yesterday for our annual club ride, about 20 riders on their oldest or smallest capacity #machines #Motorbike, I took My sons 1932 #BSA on the #ride and it did the 85 km route without missing a beat, #British engineering at its best !, Really makes me appreciate how far #engineering has come, and the evolution of #motorcycling. and also how lucky we are to live in #Australia and able to enjoy a leisurely ride out through the #countryside with good friends.
