Does anyone else randomly check all their important papers (Social Security card, bonds, birth certificate etc) periodically because they are paranoid they misplaced them for no good reason.

I feel crazy that I get worried about it for no good reason.

@cerealkella @shadowsminder I too started around that era (freebsd for the first few years) then everything under the sun both in the datacenter and cloud spaces as well as personal computing. Personally in datacenter Centos and Ubuntu server and Rocky.
For desktop mint and Ubuntu for me.

@BeAware First off I am sorry that people have been unwelcoming.

Honestly the challenge of giving complete and accurate directions in Linux stems from the same root cause as I encounter with Powershell

Drift due to time and versions of the operating system, commands AND distro's.
I feel your pain and while I am still a fan of the Linux space it can come with its challenges.
