Today I learned that previous search results about #Linux were misleading and that the operating systems for personal use are not expensive.

They're actually free?!

(The link below is for Mint because it was the easiest to pick out.)

Home - Linux Mint

Linux Mint is an elegant, easy to use, up to date and comfortable desktop operating system.

@shadowsminder I started using Linux during the XP/Vista era bc Microsoft licensing was frustrating but various flavors of *nix have remained my primary os because it's just straight up better user interface imo. For the last 4 years or so #Manjaro #Linux has been my jam
@cerealkella @shadowsminder I too started around that era (freebsd for the first few years) then everything under the sun both in the datacenter and cloud spaces as well as personal computing. Personally in datacenter Centos and Ubuntu server and Rocky.
For desktop mint and Ubuntu for me.

@cerealkella @shadowsminder I was tooo young around that time to pick out operating systems. But as soon as i got some brains in me i shifted to linux. I still have an ssd with windows on it just because i sometimes have to use photoshop and premire pro and stuff.

PS: I use pop_os!
