Congratulations to #ACMFellow Brad A. Myers of Carnegie Mellon for receiving the 2025 CBI Human-Computer Interaction (#HCI) History Prize!

Myers was honored for his book, Pick, Click, Flick!: The Story of Interaction Techniques (#ACMBooks, 2024)—a landmark work exploring the evolution of how we interact with computers.

Described as “a reflective and highly impressive monument of a book,” it’s a must-read for anyone passionate about HCI.

👏 Well-deserved recognition!

HCII Seminar Series - David Widder | Human-Computer Interaction Institute

David Gray Widder (he/him) studies how people creating artificial intelligence systems think about the downstream harms their systems make possible, and the wider cultural, technical, and economic logics which shape these thoughts. He is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Digital Life Initiative at Cornell Tech, an affiliate of the Data & Society research institute, and a research fellow of the European AI & Society Fund.

HCII Professor Scott Hudson is now an ACM Fellow! He was recognized for contributions in user interface software, interactive devices & computational fabrication applied to human-computer interaction (HCI). Congratulations, Scott.
