Seems low. Maybe my first project this year should be to figure out a good way to count the myriad of ways I have to SSO. https://chaos.social/@gsuberland/113745187679215499

one welcome change in ios 18: now when you reply “STOP” to stop political junk, you can ALSO then report as junk/block.

(before, replying with anything at all would remove the report button. cc @gruber )

My 2024.9 update is out, and swiping is back on the now-playing screen!

Swipe between the artwork page and the new chapters/info combo page. It fits WAY more info on screen than the old app, and it feels so good!

Also:
- Swipe left to download an episode
- New iOS 18 dark and color-tinted icons
- Download All Episodes option in playlist menu
- Fixed Episode Limit enforcement

@overcastfm Found a minor bug that’s happened twice so far. I was listening to the ATP bootleg and switched to Up First which wasn’t downloaded yet. The Up First playing page popped up but had the wrong play position and duration. It fixed itself once the download finished and start playing.
@marcoarment Ah, banner ads for podcasts was turned on for some reason with the update.
@marcoarment New update looks great but I’m getting ads at the bottom of the screen even with premium. Known issue?
@caseyliss My daughter graduated from William & Mary two years ago. At that time a large portion of the dorms were still not air conditioned. I caught you talking about VT and air conditioning on the bootleg and thought you'd enjoy knowing there are still Virginia universities stuck in the 1950s.
My passport and driver's license have the apostrophe, and TIL TSA guidance is to include it https://www.tsa.gov/travel/frequently-asked-questions/my-name-contains-special-character-such-hyphen-or-apostrophe-how. I'm pretty use to places not supporting the apostrophe, but this one is new to me.
@clayton_oneill two-factor authentication: the password is a thing you know, and your last name is a thing everyone knows.
Unbelievable. Delta introduced a new requirement where you have to login with your last name along with your username and password. However, they don’t allow apostrophes in last names, which is how they have it on their side.
