So, I decided to give the theme another go to see if I could resolve the maximize color.
I realized today that I had corrected it on the copy that I put on my desktop and not the actual theme in .local/share/aurorae/themes. 
After making the correction in the correct folder, it now shows a lovely green when maximized as expected.

Had a late morning as we slept in after going out last night with an old podcast friend of mine who was in town with his wife. Was great to see him, and I hope he and his wife have a wonderful time as they venture on their 5-day Cruise. 🚢
As for us, #coffee and outdoors for the day. Need to buy more coffee and have to get a few other items, but first I need to finish my second cup. 
Meanwhile, da Fonz isn't too happy that I woke him up from his second nap.
