Welp, I've found the worst government website. Laid out with tables and frames and hasn't been updated since HTML 4. https://www.recalls.gov/recent.html

Does anyone know the best way to display temperatures so they are accessible for screen readers? Should it be like 80 F, or 80 degrees F, or 80 °F, or do I have to use the whole word Fahrenheit instead of F? I think all of those should be understandable on a screen reader, but I'm not sure which would be the best option. There is also the special character ℉, but it's my understanding that some screen readers don't support it.

Gentle reminder to make your metadata fields as self-documenting as possible. As an example, if you store the ID of a YouTube video in some metadata, the field should be called 'youtubeID' and not just plain 'youtube'. Or, if you need the whole URL, call it 'youtubeURL'.

This isn’t for you, it’s for the person (or team) that inherits the system after you’ve changed roles and your external documentation has somehow been misplaced.

As new tech devices are gathering more and more data about users, privacy and safety are STILL not being talked about. So many devices can harm users, either directly or indirectly, and users often have no idea. https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2023/01/08/ces-worst-products-safety-privacy/
