It was particularly interesting to watch i24News ( #Israel ) cover the riots over Netanyahu's so-called "reforms" of the judicial system over there, and, in particular, the discussion on their Global Eye program. Panelist Owen Alterman called the move "Putinization" and I'd say that's accurate.
Another panelist, via remote, was Michael Kleiner, former president of Netanyahu's Likud Party, who pointed out that other Likud members felt alienated by the move, to the point of not voting for Likud candidates anymore.
And here's a reminder that when the Netanyahu coalition was criticized for being more extreme than his party, he said that he didn't join THEM. THEY joined Likud....and we can now see just how bogus that statement was.
As it stands, Israel's military reservists are now refusing to serve the regime, so there goes the spiral.
