You might remember my distress at not having been able to grab any tiny balancing sheep photos. Went out for a walk today and it wasn't perfect (the pathway is noticeably higher than the field which makes it tricky) BUT VICTORY IS MINE! 🐑 😁

I continue to stand by rubbish-but-real being better than polished-but-fake.

I am sitting on the bench in the field. Birds are singing in the trees; not a cloud in the sky. There is a pleasant breeze. 28C/83F: too dang hot for march. The dogs had a nice walk. Lord Byron has a ball. Charlotte is digging a hole. Jane is getting pelted with dirt. Take a deep breath and relax.

AI has made email untrustable and mostly useless. As an author, I now delete every email that purports to be from a "fan". Nobody answers their phone because of spam calls. Now we're heading to everyone deletes their emails unread. This does not feel like progress.

I’m sitting on the bench in the field. I am thankful it is in the shade and that there is a breeze. 31C/88F in March. Ugh. The red tailed and red shouldered hawks have been calling all day. I’ve seen a few yellow swallowtails. One Acmon blue. Take a deep breath let it out. Relax.

Hi #fediverse. We need to talk about something.

While talking to a colleague about how I recently learned most people have never sat on a cow it came up that she has never sat on a horse. Like, not even once during childhood.

Another colleague admitted they also have never sat on a horse.

My hypothesis is that most people have at one point in their life sat on a horse.
