Socially awkward penguin, rollin' hard in the land of fediverse chicks and reply guys.
What goes up must come down twice as fast
That's the first rule in life
Cause nothing ever lasts
And everyone you know will die

@hello @colo_lee whatever comes out of the little package at the end of the curly q grew into what's there today. Call it whatever you want.
There's a lot going on in this picture, but the only thing that really matters is in that black drum. Yeah, the one with the smoke coming out.

@colo_lee I planted these from seed last August. I don't remember why I planted them then, but they popped up, died back for the winter, and have done this. They're five feet tall. Elephant garlic from a chain store. I should have a mountain of seed.

The oranges are all done - except for a few that are still a little sticky, so they'll get a little more time in the dehydrator.

I leave the slices sit for 12 -24 hours then go through them again as I put them into their storage container. At room temp they can display stickiness that is hidden when still warm from the dehydrator.

Sticky ones will get extra time.

Don;t they look gorgeous? I may or may not do another lot, once I see how many there are in the container. They last 12 - 18 months if dried properly. They'll go dark after that and lose their aroma and taste.
