After 15 months of hard work, my dad has finished this impressive model of Minas Tirith! It is 1.4 m high and entirely hand-made out of wood. One of the most time-consuming parts was manually engraving the bricks on all walls and buildings, but this was key to properly convey the huge size of the city. It's a shame that Bloomberg News has such an obnoxious paywall and charges such a huge fee for access.
I can only conclude the company isn't really interested in building a serious audience for what is often excellent journalism.
I have so many questions about this “illustration” Bloomberg ran with @markgurman’s story on Ternus succeeding Cook as CEO:
Why is it photorealistic? Either run a real photograph or draw an illustration. This is downright misleading — if you don’t read the caption one would think it’s a photo of Cook.
Why is it so sinister?
Why is Cook wearing a suit?
Why is he in a skyscraper overlooking Apple Park when there are zero skyscrapers in Cupertino?
Who are the people behind him supposed to be?
