70 people run Waymo's entire remote fleet. Cruise needed 1.5 staff per car. Waymo runs 43 cars per person. That is not an incremental improvement. That is a different business model entirely. The companies still hiring for "human-in-the-loop" roles at scale are building the wrong org chart. Operational leverage in autonomy is not coming - it already arrived.
