Mumonkani survived (barely) the hour-long, 5:00AM (!!) bike ride to the #albuquerque international #balloon fiesta this morning. *totally* worth it. weather was great and the mass ascension was amazing as always.
i was a little worried of getting up that early and biking that far -- then having it cancelled. (wind canceled it yesterday! but luckily i didnt go.) but all was good, green flag raised.

Ah, here's a better one of the "Dawn Patrol" patrolling the dawn over the Great Reno Balloon Race. This was a great morning for the balloon race. It's the first year--since I can't remember--that we didn't have wildfire smoke filling the air. Although, it was scary warm out. I rode my motorcycle to the event at 3am in a long-sleeved shirt! Decades ago, it was always freezing cold.
