Had fun listing all of these interfaces that are aware of the hardware’s dimensions or buttons or other physical properties, so they can do fun things with pointing to stuff.
Please send me more if you can think of them!
I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed this essay on LLMs by @aredridel: they’ve helped me rethink a few of my old arguments, and sharpen some of the critiques I still hold close.
It was worth my time; maybe it’s worth yours, too. https://aredridel.dinhe.net/2026/02/12/the-ai-haters-guide-to-code-with-llms/
@kepano love your #buywisely product showcases. Is there a place on your website where all of these are collected? Would love to see any more you have in your rotation.
It inspires me to examine the constant things in my life that are well-made that have stuck around. The LAMY Safari happens to be one of those things!
@kellianderson sits down with Adam Savage to talk about her new book, Alphabet in Motion. It’s part pop-up book and part history of letterforms. Kelli is one of my favorite designers, such a great combination of skill and joy in everything she makes. Can’t wait for my copy to arrive!

There is no visible scrubbing UI for the voice message experience in iOS.
Borrowing the music scrubbing bar might be a good alternative to let users know they can scrub the audio file if they want.
Note: You can scrub the UI currently, but for some reason Apple has hidden that UI.
