I tried to get a photo of the moon looking like the Cheshire Cat's smile before it fully fades away (what it looks like to the naked eye), but, instead, I ended up capturing the moon looking like a clown with a giant goofy smile on its face.

I just stepped outside, and this female cardinal almost hit me, flying backwards. Then it landed in my chair for a moment, while Mama Sox looked on intently.
Despite the fact that it's been above freezing all night, and is still above freezing, we're getting a steady enough shower of freezing rain that it's staying frozen and slushy on the roads (at least the rarely-traveled gravel roads).
