Hab’s endlich geschafft, das KiCad-Projekt zum Strobolüfter einigermaßen aufzuräumen und zu lizensieren. Im Repo findet ihr auch die Folien zu meinem Vortrag auf der #wicmp11 .

This is amazing. EA1FUO has built nec2c into WebAssembly, and now you can do antenna simulations on your phone or desktop without depending on nec2c running on a server. You can also deploy it locally, and he provides instructions for how to do this on docker or bare, and you can run nec2c on the server if you like.
Takes seconds to simulate my inverted V, and it even displays updates on what it is doing while running the simulation. It then gives a 3d rendering that you can drag around to get a better intuition. As you hover your mouse over the model, it shows gain in dBi with elevation and azimuth.

Ich war im Herbst auf der IFA. Nicht weil ich die neusten AI-Smart-Telekühlschränke ansehen wollte, sondern weil ich ein kostenloses Ticket bekam hörte, dass dort auch kleinere chinesische Hersteller ausstellen und ich das quasi als Substitut bis zum nächsten Shenzhen-Besuch nutzen wollte. Da mich interessiert, wie Produktentwicklung, Produktion und Vermarktung von Elektronik in China funktioniert, habe ich versucht mit den Ausstellern ins Gespräch zu kommen. Ich war wirklich überrascht, wie offen die Menschen an den Ständen waren und versucht haben mir meine Fragen zu beantworten. Ich hatte nie das Gefühl, dass mir jemand eine Frage nicht beantworten wollen würde. Selbst dann, wenn ich von vornherein offen legte, dass ich wahrscheinlich nicht ihre Zielgruppe bin. Kein Ausweichen, keine Mauern, wie ich es auf Messen sehr häufig bei deutschen Unternehmen erlebt habe. Disclaimer: Ich habe keine tiefe Kenntnis von Produktion, Produktentwicklung oder Vermarktung. Ich wollte hier nur mal aufschreiben, was ich in den Gesprächen auf der IFA gelernt habe.

The toaster and this demonstrational model of a low temperature differential stirling engine have been in my possession for several years now. I kept running the engine using candles but now I finally realized I could just put it on top of my toaster and let it chug along while I wait for the toast to finish. It slowly picks up speed and keeps going.
Now I am looking forward to using my toaster. It's the small things in life that make you happy 😊.
