The "assemble at home" part caused a grim chuckle from me. I get the idea, though, it's great!

The layout is basically Planck, right? It should be possible with any 4x12 keyboard kit (not just the ones you mentioned in the readme), but the firmware must be adjusted for possibly different wiring.

Also, QMK definitely can be flashed using MacOS and Windows! Windows needs some hoop jumping to compile the firmware.
