This is the opening shot and sequence of "THE VERY LAST DAY." I like movies that throw you into the action immediately, without explanation. Japanese filmmaker Takashi Miike is an absolute master of this, though the American actioner "LETHAL WEAPON 2" pulls the same fun trick. Besides that, there's something about running that is inherently cinematic, especially running away. It creates a sense of urgency, and also empathy for the one being chased.
