Based on this chart, the US should not be spending a single penny on widening highways or building new ones. We cannot even maintain the roads we have. Boston metro area is #3 for best maintained roads. How bad is the rest of the country?!
"Did ThE CoMmUniTy ask for bike lanes?"

The entrance to The Museum of Science car park is lethal. Confused drivers turning across the path of amateur blue bike cyclists and young people looking at the museum rather than their safety. The entrance and the people flow need urgent remodeling. The safety of a cyclist should not rely on a driver spotting you in a wing mirror.

@streetsblogmass I'm actually glad none of these went anywhere as they were pretty weak on truly transforming Morrissey Blvd into a calm park-like street. It really needs many fewer travel lanes, many more trees, and high quality facilities for walking and bicycling.
Since 2015, the Commonwealth has attempted to initiate three separate planning efforts to redesign Morrissey Boulevard along Dorchester's waterfront. None of them have gone anywhere:

Un premier radar de type Méduse entre en service sur le boulevard de mer à titre d’expérimentation. D’autres seront installés en 2023 et ils verbaliseront les véhicules aux sonorités hors normes.

#Quebec now has a traffic light that only turns green for safe drivers.

How does it work? The light in the school zone—in a car-dependent suburb—is by default red. When a car is driving at 30 km/h (18 mph) or under, it turns green.

Steal This Idea: In Quebec, A New Traffic Light Only Turns Green for Safe Drivers

The light is red by default, but turns green when an attached speed camera detects an approaching motor vehicle that’s driving under the speed limit.
