This is hilarious. It appears that Twitter is DDOSing itself.

The Twitter home feed's been down for most of this morning. Even though nothing loads, the Twitter website never stops trying and trying.

In the first video, notice the error message that I'm being rate limited. Then notice the jiggling scrollbar on the right.

The second video shows why it's jiggling. Twitter is firing off about 10 requests a second to itself to try and fetch content that never arrives because Elon's latest genius innovation is to block people from being able to read Twitter without logging in.

This likely created some hellish conditions that the engineers never envisioned and so we get this comedy of errors resulting in the most epic of self-owns, the self-DDOS.

Unbelievable. It's amateur hour.

This is hilariously stupid. I mean, just painfully stupid. And, yes, it's real.

Wow, OK, so I guess a lot of folks don't know what Android Auto / CarPlay do and why it's bonkers that GM is dropping it. So, quick explainer:

Car companies generally suck at making software. Everyone complains at how buggy their infotainment screens are, and getting updates for maps etc. is an awful experience.

So, why not just provide a way for your always-up-to-date phone to take over the car's infotainment screen - leaving the software to the people who are good at software?

It's that.

El Preservador: SSHing Responsibly on iOS

With La Terminal, we strive to offer an SSH client that just works on iOS. With this in mind, I set out to make design decisions on behalf of users that would provide an experience that works out of the box while providing the best terminal emulator experience they deserve.

@rene it looks nice. Maybe just not for me at this time. I’m testing out Ice Cubes. It seems nice. I may stick with it and just send a tip.
@rene i have to be honest. I didn’t know it was a yearly subscription. I don’t mind paying for an app, but I don’t need any more subscriptions. It’s not like they’re running the Mastodon/Fediverse infrastructure.
@rene @tapbots out where? Doesn’t show up on the App Store for me.
