@gruber wrt https://daringfireball.net/2026/03/apple_enclaves_neo_camera_indicator - i wonder if ambient light sensing is done via an exclave connected to the camera instead now, rather than ALS. explains why it can do it without one, and it'd also indicate why there's no hardware camera light (if the exclave is using it without telling the OS)
