saw this Meta commercial that was about some queer-themed whatever they were doing, but the narrator, who I guess was supposed to be a queer woman, said the project made her feel "normalized."

To me that just feels like right wing framing. We don't need to be "normalized." That's not a goal queer people I know have. But right wingers talk (with dread) about queer people being normalized all the time
