My young kid got interested in role playing games since they keep coming up in the books she's been reading. @mfamelis introduced her to a simplified D&D game called Hero Kids, which is great! But then we suggested browsing for 3D printable models of her character, a warrior witch, and all we found were buxom women wearing at best an improbably skimpy corset and at worst nothing at all. To all men who enjoy RPGs: my kid is now totally traumatized and thinks you're all creeps. 😠
My account request at Dice.camp hasn't gotten an answer in a couple of days. With warhammer.social closing down, what instance with a similar vibe/local timeline/moderation would people recommend?

Finally from the box is this wonderful poster, which my better half has already informed me cannot go above the bed.

There is so much more amazing stuff in there and it is a truly wonderful gift to receive.

I just added visiting Wargames Foundry in a village in the middle of England to my bucket list: https://www.wargamesfoundry.com/pages/visit-our-shop

Really interesting strategic/tactical analysis of the OPR ruleset:

TL;DW: the alternative activation system, along with the number and placement of objectives make for a very deep tactical game system.

My LGS was selling the "Garrek's Reavers" warband used. They can be used in #Bladeborn so I just bought them on sight. Bladeborn is a "#Warcry in a box" game that I have found plays reasonably well solo.

I'm slowly finding my way back to the hobby but I'm also feeling almost completely decoupled from AoS as a system. Everything in it feels as if it's overly complex in order to force grab my attention and get me to buy the next thing.

On the other hand, I'm thoroughly enjoying One Page Rules battle reports. I never even bothered with 40k but I'm able to easily follow along Grimdark Future. It's just fun and I see the wide open window for creativity.
