Friends, nobody wants to be in us-east-1. NOBODY.
But migrating out can have a significant cost, and for *most* businesses a three hour outage once a year is not worth the engineering time to fix it - especially when half your customers are also down simultaneously
Harry SintonenA lot of services that are supposedly running in EU are currently having significant issues due to AWS US-EAST-1 being impacted. But surely this is just some dependencies that are down and all our data is really stored in EU. Right?

His name is Abdul Muneeb and he works for South Eastern Railways, he was on a break and saw a guy bolt cut the lock and challenged him to give it back, he then took it inside and waited 4 hours after his shift finished to personally make sure I got my bike back. The world needs more Abdul’s, he is a legend of a man and a credit to his employer."

Had to tweak my Wifi settings again (Aruba Instant).
My phone had started to get stuck again to a specific AP even with a bad signal (using the iOS nOversight app made it easy to see).
I think some apps make iOS believe there is a call/streaming in progress (when there is not).
In any case I disabled the “Client aware” setting on IAP to try and be more forceful and that seems to have done the trick (roaming wise).
And it still quickly switches even with a call in progress.

So to be clear, and without doubt, the US is now run by a convicted felon and rapist, a criminal. Have I got that right?
