👆 In the post above I talk about how last month I photographed a wedding for the first time and the experience exceeded my expectations.
I never imagined myself photographing weddings, but it turns out that not all wedding photos have to be the same. Wedding or not, I hope to be able to do more photo sessions as fun as this one.

After some thought, I decided to leave Automattic last week. It's the first time I've been without a job, and while I'm excited for the chance to rest and focus on personal projects for a while,
I'm also a bit anxious about finding a new position in these uncertain times. So, if you're looking for a remote Product Designer who can also code and illustrate, or if you know someone who is looking, I'd love to hear from you.
Every once in a while you read a piece that explains and reorganizes your worldview- this is one of those pieces for me:
Article: "Why are Republicans more likely to suffer hearing loss?"
Me: "They're all fossils, duh"
Article: "No, we mean: they're still hard of hearing, even when you account for their age!"
Me: "Hmm... poor health choices? Are they working loud jobs? I know they're outdoorsy types - ah, shit, it's guns isn't it"
Article: "yeah, it's guns"

After all these years, I've only just realised that the illustration for @beep's seminal Responsive Design article is itself responsive. 🤦
