I am an attorney in Tucson, Arizona practicing in the areas of family law and consumer bankruptcy. He/Him.
I created my account some time ago and looked for people I followed on the bird site. I've been looking forward to the time I could dump Musk's site for good. Very happy and impressed to see how the content here has grown and improved. Excited to be able to follow hashtags. #introduction

A different astronomy and space science related image is featured each day, along with a brief explanation.

A feature I really like about Mastadon is a billionaire hasn’t force fed me content from nutjobs and I can actually see the people I follow.
Pour one out for the dozen remaining Twitter engineers, chained to their H1-B visas, forced to spend their 4-day weekend implementing and then correcting for all of Elon's dumbest ideas.
Imagine how stupid you have to be to take your web site which traffics in popular posts driving engagement, and disincentivize 99% of your users from loading the most popular posts with the most interest around them because it will eat their daily allotment of reads if they do.

@ElonMusk my guess is during Google cloud payment negotiations he threatened to increase the price of Firehose API access that Google uses to search index public tweets, and someone on the call either threatened to or straight-up prototyped doing it via scraping so he did this to win the argument.

Pure self-immolation.

He is truly horrible. It's like he just absorbs every shitty opinion on the worst parts of the internet.

That's dirty pool. Proper cat related gloating at least requires that she wait until you get home to share the pic. Gloating after the fact when you jade home and in comfy clothes is defensible. Gloating while you are still at work is uncouth.

Norfolk Southern, the company whose train derailed in Ohio and unleashed chemicals, made a record $12 billion in revenue last year.

Instead of investing in better safety measures, what did the company do? It authorized a $10 billion stock buyback.

Corporate greed, folks.
