DC's Metro for DC bill would:
1. Make it free to board any Metrobus in DC (not Circulator) from July '23;
2. Make 12 select routes 24h;
3. Establish a $10m annual transit improvement fund;
4. Eventually (from Oct '24) put $100 pm on DC residents' SmarTrip cards. More info here from @ggwash:

Council takes the right turn on Metro for DC bill
A revised legislation would make all bus trips that start in DC free to all riders, operate some routes 24 hours a day, and create a dedicated service improvement fund. It’s the right direction for Councilmember Charles Allen’s Metro for DC bill, which still plans to eventually offer a $100 monthly transit subsidy for DC residents.
