OK, #chemistry Mastodon: I'm compiling a list of illegal, silly and whimsical molecules (thank @sellathechemist for this).
And I need your help.
I'll start with the silliest named of the lot: arsole.
Yes: it really is a ring, and it probably smells quite bad too. No chemist has ever made pure arsole. But it's a safe bet that if they did, many will wish they hadn't!
More suggestions welcome!
