Game developer and comic book artist from finland. Making Undead for PC and C64; wishlist here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3848630/Undead/
@gilesgoat Oh, ok. I sent you pm that you got the steam key last summer, and tested it back then and seemed to like it. I have added lot of stuff since, if you wish to try.
This is steam store link, you should be able to either find it on your library or install it from there. If this is not so, send me a pm and I send you another key. Thanks :)

Undead on Steam

A brutal and humorous 2D belt-scroller with hundreds of frames of hand-crafted animation—built for both Steam and Commodore 64. Punch, kick, grab, throw, hurl, shoot, smash and decapitate your enemies in 100x120px glory.

@gilesgoat Sent you pm :)
@gilesgoat dont.. tempt me! 😄 haha
By the way I got new build of Undead on Steam, if you want to try? There is no proper level design, its just a stress test for all the features
@gilesgoat I could write an essay why this game is still head and shoulders above any other vertical shmup in design. 99% of people never noticed many intricacies on there, like how level progression is based on score and how map tiles and enemy attack waves change by that. And dynamic difficulty is there, already in 1984! Insane
@gilesgoat after a 2-year break, I got 1’087’000.. I could have got more, but your message alert distracted me and my ship went boom! Damn smart phones
@gilesgoat you have A GOOD TASTE!
Thanks to careful repairwork by Toni Cavén and Reprocade Ltd my favourite game of all time works again. Happy day!
Toni was playtesting Undead today; while I was commenting and repeatedly stating the obvious things happening in the screen. Test level was a quick one, I was happy it worked this well, only one new bug emerged.

Next, I need to fill in some small missing bits, which is to add weapon frames for special attack pose, and for entering doors.
Then, I will start polishing all the graphics for the PC version. I will touch up the sprites, and start reworking the level art to cover all of the 160 x 200 area, and rework the UI for that purpose. Original versions will stay safe for the eventual C64 conversion that will come some day.

After that, I can FINALLY start making new levels.
