@Eamon1916 I wonder if there's a connection between people being uninformed or confused on the facts, and the reality that gun control advocates can't seem to pass meaningful legislation. A mystery.

@opendna Thanks for the response! I've mostly used Wordpress in the past so that's what I was leaning towards. I'm an artist and Ghost looks really interesting... might give it a try as well..

@durf @burritojustice RSS isn't dead because of Google Reader, I still use it daily, which is one of the benefits of federation and self hosting - no? Substack/Mailchimp/Mastodon are all RSS, the news site never removed their feeds, there are bridges for whatever closed-wall social you use. Seems to me resiliency is one of the benefits of this kind of open tech.

@nuala Here in the SF bay area, if you bicycle through the small towns in Marin County you will see signs telling CYCLISTS to be quite/not talk as they ride past houses that are a few feet from a main road.

They don't mind the car noise, but a humans talking bother them.
