Also half the reason I have this tower is so I can try to access some PC VR stuff that my laptop can't handle.
And the other half is to see if it's better at running 3D printing and CAD software.
Both very scifi things until recently.
Using a mini projector as a monitor and a wireless keyboard for input while my PC tower is hidden around the corner feels very Future.
I pull an ultra thin keyboard from the side of my desk. It's not even connected to anything. With the press of a button a glowing display pops into existence on my wall as if from nowhere, giving me access to computing power and a database of knowledge my ancestors could only dream of.

like having gay main characters and dramatic story scenes or whatever is really good at showing the game/devs are fine with gay/trans people when they happen to show up
but the little touches like an NPC just blurting this first line offhand somehow goes way further toward making it feel like the world and people are accepting too, and that it's a common normal thing that isn't seen as strange or up for debate
it's just a neat writing thing i want to see more of
tbh i think part of making a queer-friendly game world is just really tiny side bits like this
like obviously you need actual queer characters, but also the occasional NPC just offhand assuming like "yeah girls show up to pay for girl dancers" or whatever is a neat way to show that gay people are normal and not like "everyone is hetero, except for you"
like it's the tiny stuff that makes being gay feel normal BECAUSE it's bland minutiae too instead of just major characters/events i feel??? idk

Thinking about how seeing people with thousands of unread emails says more about the failure and abuse of email (and online communication as a whole), not to mention the unmanageable pace of modern life, than it does about that unfortunate individual.
Modern capitalism expects us to all behave as if we had our own secretaries, expect paid out of our own pockets or time.
